Licorice Fusion Delicious and Beneficial January 16, 2023 Reviewer: Jude O'Nym from SANTA ROSA, CA United States   I drink Licorice Fusion because it's delicious, but also because licorice root affords protection against Covid.  I am a nurse and regularly take care of patients who are Covid positive. From an article at Science Direct In this work, we found GA and A3 from licorice potently inhibit SARS CoV-2 infection by affecting entry and replication of the virus. Our findings indicate that these triterpenoids may contribute to the clinical efficacy of licorice for COVID 19 and could be promising candidates for antiviral drug development.
